Yellow is a design and audiovisuals studio based in Barcelona, Spain. Founded in 2011 by Konstantina Gavala, Yellow Studio is home to a group of creative professionals spreading from graphic designers and photographers to marketing specialists.
We are proud to have delivered creative and engaging solutions on a variety of cross-discipline projects across brand identity, editorial design, print, packaging, architectural and interior design, photography and digital media.
We typically (but not exclusively) work with clients in creative, design-led sectors. Our clients and projects range from tiny to huge, so there is never a one-size-fits-all. We are always open to working with clients who are looking to question, to embrace new ideas, and to get excited about the potential of what we could do together.
On a one-on-one basis, we guide our clients through every step of the design process. Our intention is to always work WITH the client and not just FOR them.
THE TEAM
Konstantina Gavala is an architect, multidisciplinary designer and photographer. In 2011, she creates Yellow Studio in Barcelona. She has 20+ years of experience working as a creative, combining in her projects the three disciplines that she loves. She specializes in Brand and Editorial design, while flirting with AI, new Marketing techniques and Advertisement. Konstantina has received international awards, participated in various exhibitions, and her work has been published in a variety of international magazines and books.
Georgia Nikolakopoulou studied architecture and sculpture, and since 2017, she has been working on web and mobile applications design for different industries (telecoms, finance, security, creativity, etc) with a focus on User Experience and Design Thinking methodology. She has experience in branding, visual identity and marketing, and loves to explore new ways to combine her expertise and passion for all the above disciplines in her work.
Passionate about the development of brands through the combination of research, analysis, creativity and values, Vanessa Garduño is licensed in International Business, with a specialization in Strategic Marketing and Branding. She has more than 15 years experience in marketing and sales in LATAM and EU and has worked for a wide range of sectors covering local and international brands.
How we work
We believe in a holistic approach to all projects, big or small; from start to finish, end to end, nose to tail. Not every project allows for that, but where it’s possible, that’s what we do.
It’s important because a client might be focused on addressing a small issue, but, with the right questions and a bit of discussion, we can often uncover the bigger picture, which could affect the design process later on.
So, we try to understand where they want to go next week, next year, or in 10 years time, and by having this overview we aim to plan and design for the longer term.
It is not just about making the best, most considered design for our clients. It is also about helping them recognize the value that the design process brings and that in the long run, a holistic, joined-up design approach could, and should save money.
